Derek is a Certified IT Specialist and the WW Jazz Subject Matter Expert on IBM Rational’s WW Sales and Technical Empowerment Team. He currently is driving worldwide field enablement for IBM Rational’s Jazz Technology Platform and Rational Team Concert, the first product released on this new team collaboration platform. His areas of expertise include software design and development, model-driven development, pattern-driven engineering, agile methodologies, global development and delivery, Collaborative Application Lifecycle Management, Java EE and SOA based solutions. Derek received his Computer Engineering degree from The Pennsylvania State University and is currently pursuing his Executive MBA at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
