Founded in Cologne, Germany, in 1982, SQS has around 1,400 employees worldwide. SQS has a strong presence in Germany and the UK and offices in Austria, Egypt, Finland, India, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States. Furthermore, SQS has a minor stake in an operation in Portugal and a partnership operation in Spain. In 2007, the group achieved revenues of € 121.1 million. SQS is listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIM) and has a second listing on the Open Market on Deutsche Börse, Frankfurt.
In 2008 the SQS-Group acquired the Nordic company Validate Technology with offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Lund in Sweden, Oslo in Norway and Helsinki in Finland. Validate focus on test and quality assurance of IT systems during the entire application lifecycle from requirements to production. The company delivers packaged solutions and consultancy services within test management, test automation, load and performance tests and application monitoring. Validate also offers a broad range of training courses both in our own classrooms and at the customer site.
Validate was founded in 2002 and merged during 2005 with the company 2020 Governance AB and became one of the strongest expert companies within the area of test and quality assurance. A proof of this was the achievement of the HP Software Channel Excellence Award 2007 for its profound competence and educational services on the HP Software products.
In November 2008 Validate officially changed name to SQS Software Quality Systems Nordic AB
